Putin will buy long-range drones from Jinping
Jinping will discuss importing gas from Russia at cheap prices and the Power of Siberia pipeline. Through this pipeline, Russia supplies gas to China from Siberia via Mongolia. At the same time, during this visit, Putin will try to make a deal for modern weapons and long-range drones against Ukraine. However, both countries have denied any such thing.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the two leaders will discuss bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, and international and regional issues related to people-to-people. According to Russian officials, the two leaders will sign a joint declaration after the talks. Both leaders will also attend the royal banquet celebrating 75 years of Russia-China friendship.
Putin praised China for helping in the Ukraine war
Putin had praised Beijing’s willingness to help in the Ukraine war before his visit. Putin will also meet Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang. He will also visit the northeastern city of Harbin for a trade and investment exhibition.
According to Chinese customs data, Sino-Russian trade has boomed since the attack on Ukraine. Trade is expected to reach Rs 20 lakh crore in 2023, but sugar exports to Russia declined during March and April. The reason for this has been attributed to America. After this, Chinese banks have stopped or reduced transactions with Russian customers.
